Anybody knows of a good and reputable place to remove birth mark? Anyone can share their birth mark removal experience?![]()
hihi
you can try DRx clinic at forum, it is very famous.
i had my birth mark removed but there's a slight white indent scar, which is normal for laser procedures, i did it on my left cheek so when i put blusher and foundation have to put more on the scar so it won't be obvious
forgot to say how much, one session about $360, i took 6 to remove it.
actually now come to think of it... since my birthmark was darker and i had to conceal it with foundation.... and now my birthmark is whitish i still have to conceal it to hide the white indent scar.......but i guess i prefer it to be white than darker!

How was the procedure like? any pain, redness etc? Avoid the sun?
The procedure starts off like this:
the put on an antiseptic gel on the area u want for 1 hr, i think it is suppose to numb the area a little.
after that you lie down and they use the machine to do the laser, i felt like i was in ER or something, haha, of course it was pain. feel like rubber band snapping at my face.
after completion u must avoid the sun and apply thick sunblock on the area and if u go school or work, u must apply concealer or else very scary,
becuase the area will turn purple black and flake off slowly, about 3 weeks.
After 3 weeks, u go for next session, usually take 6 sessions to drastically reduce/remove it.
Hi gals
Do you hv any recommendations for a doctor who is very skillful at lightening birthmark?
My gf has this really huge birthmark & have grown bigger over the yrs. The patch is huge & unslightly that she dare not wear shorts/skirts. She is thinking of getting it lighten so that its not so obvious.
Please let me know if you hv any docs to recomend.
TIA
i m a new member and i love this CC sooo much!! feedbacks from fellow members are awesome![]()
anyways right now, my biggest concern is birthmark.
i'm not so sure if it's reli a birthmark or simply a scar i got from black ointment applied when i was a baby (is it possible *** ointment stained my skin? or my mama is pulling my leg)
and so, the only way of removing it is thru laser rite?
but i'm afraid laser will make it worse. in some cases, gals r complaining the after effects weren't so thrilling
anyone knows of a place which offers good laser techniques and if there are any successful experiences, don't mind to share?
approximate price of the session as well . pls...
my size of birthmark is abt 5 cents? faint tint of brown. on my forehead.
once again. thanks for sharing babes!!![]()
Hey dear, Mine is even worst than yours.... on the right side of my face almost the size of a baby palm... Faint Brown tone but not the very obvious and most people mistook that it was uneven skin tone...
According to my mum, she dunno stick what aliment on the bed board and just nice on where I was sleeping over it at the side of my face. My mum forget to take the aliment out till it was too late... Suppose to remove when I was full month but it was left there till months later...
I still live with it for almost 25 years already. For my case, I just cover with foundation. Unless, yours is those red/black patches kind then it will be really advisable to remove it. My friend who got a big black patch and she got it removed via Skin Center. Doing Laser. She said it is safer thou. And she spent around 3k. Phrase by phrase it diminished. Result is good.
I'm really lucky thou even with my birthmark on my face, my mum give me kinda a pretty faceI dun hate her but I heard sometimes birthmark are meant to be protection for something....

protection?
ya is kinda weird huh these ointment/ailment stuf can 'scarred' your face ...
skin centre? like a salon or specialist?
coz i heard ppl saying that is beta to go for skin specialist as they're more pro
is it true that it is more reliable based on their professionalism?
so u're ok with ur birthmark and not thinking of doing laser?
i'm kinda lazy to apply foundation at times so thought of having this so-called 'flawless' skin... lol ... vain pot![]()

my birthmarks are not any better.. its all sprinkle across my forehead, big and small spots.. more than 15 of them? i gave up counting after i reached 15..my father calls them "stars on the sky"
they don't really bother me much, so i am not planning to remove them and i'm scared of pain too! i just have to use my fringe to cover them. but occassionally they are 'revealed' by accident, so i get people telling me that my forehead is dirty or asking me if i injured my forehead, etc..![]()
helppp! my birthmark on my thigh is huge and i've been very embarrassed to wear very short skirts or shorts all my life. and even when i do, i feel so self-conscious and worried that people might think it looks ugly!
besides those expensive surgeries, will whitening products help ?
