A friend's wife who adores LV like to put people down by giving senseless comment. According to her, ladies who carry coach and agnes b are poor men who think by carrying these brands they'll look classy. Those who buy gucci bags don't realise they're no better than carrying recycle bags from the supermarket, and worse for the brandless ones from bugis street or FEP...... these are usually the people who have no taste, buy their low quality, mass production clothes from this fashion and blogshops.
I find her comment offensive to many people. No doubt I've my views on certain brands too, but these are just my personal views, I won't and don't see the need to judge or comment others who own bags from these brands. I've Chanel and LV bags, but I'm also buying cheap bags as long as I like the designs. What I can't stand her is being the only daughter of a rich man, she doesn't pay for her own bags, most of her LV are from her parents and husband, not everyone has a rich father to pay for their expensive bags. She made a big fuss when someone told her nowadays is too common, which I think it's true (just take a look around you when you're in Orchard Road).
Simple, she's a spoilt brat. I bet her nose is high up in the air everytime she goes out. If only somebody would tell her, without her parents and her husband, she's nothing.
Yes, I guess you're right. I really can't stand her saying other brands are tasteless poor men's bags except LV. I dislike Coach, but I think/say nothing to my friends who carry their bags, it's just my personal preference, I don't see the need for her to label anyone just because they don't buy all LV bags.
she is really a spoilt brat... if its my friend i would have discounted her already.
and there are quite a few brands which cost more than LV l.or...
In the end all it boils down to is personal preference.
To me if the bag is of good quality+nice design, I will get it. Of course leather bags tend to cost more and be of better quality than other materials but does it mean that people who carry a different kind of bag is trying to look classy/wannabes/whatever?
Remember, its the person carrying the bag and not the bag carrying the person. Of course there are wannabes carrying Gucci and Coach but I'm sure there are many wannabes carrying more expensive bags too. Her logic is really flawed here. Why the hell is she even judging people based off what bags they carry???
Some rich people aren't even into branded bags, you know.
It's not even her own money, so she should just keep her comments to herself.
And it's not as though she's the only rich person on Earth.
I heard that due to the euro dropping like dead flies, it is uncool to buy LV bags now. Rather Chanel is the new target in the market. If your friend's spoiltbrat wife has not switched to Chanel bags by now and still toting her LV bags around....what can I say?
Well, from my POV, LV is sooo common now a days in the streets now also. Even a Secondary student is carrying a LV. I personally only own a agnes b small bag and a coach sling bag, and i own plenty of brandless bags, it all depends on how we see ourself and do not need to care what people say.
Brandless or branded are designs that different people look into. No matter what brand it is, it is a bag painstakingly design by designers.
Tasteless poor men are the ones who speaks in a tasteless manner.
I seriously don't agree with this....that woman should justup.
While i personally love designer bags, i do own some brandless bags as well. Some more they r cheaper and some quality not bad too.
I really think that is how that person can wear that particular bag out, whether is a brand or brandless bag. If anyone is stylish or confident enough, they will look very classy with the bags on them.![]()
Most important is how you match with your dressing. Brand is not important. LV is indeed too common. Is almost like a uniform in Orchard. I am so sad that the brand becomes so common.
Whatever bag you carry,as long as u bought it within your own gains, you should be proud of it.So what if it is brandless, its more about liking it. Each person has their likes & dislikes. As long as your happy with what u carry, that's enough.I dun think we need to justify to anyone how we want to live our lives.
There are some ppl with low EQ carrying obvious brands like LV. They think that owning a branded bag denotes their social standing. pls..I rather buy a nice house if I was that rich. Some of these 'rich ppl' are born with a silver spoon in their mouths,no point arguing with them.At least real ppl work to get what they want. Unlike them, who jus ask and gets whatever they please.Such ppl need a reality check.
So kudos to babes out there who aren't shy in carrying brandless/inspired/non-LV brand bags, its about style not brand.
suki_desu: dun tell me that lady owns LV toilet paper at home??I would love to see that..
LOL she thinks LV very expensive and high-class? LV is not expensive compared to many other luxury brands out there. She is the one being silly.
got branded bag doesn't mean rich. likewise, no branded bag doesn't mean poor. there are plenty of very wealthy people with not a high end brand on their being. and, also being attired in brands doesn't equate with taste, style nor manners.
