I sent my Gucci wallet to a handbag shop in 3rd Level Arcade early last year for cleaning. When I got it back, I realised they sent it to a shop in Singapore Shopping Centre. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the shop and the handbag shop no longer in Arcade. They did a good job with the wallet even though it was expensive ($90). It was as good as a new wallet. They even touched up the trimmings of the wallet. Now the wallet is still sitting in my drawer as I can't bear to use it. LOL!

I just came back from a 1 week holiday and all my bags turned mouldy!!
There was a water leak in my room wall which caused the mould in my room.. the bag which has the worst mould had to be my Chanel bag... Sighh...

ayanami: u mean the colourwash? Just send one of my bag for washing last week. I should service ok and price quite alright.

My bag was moldy so i send it for cleaning total cost me $100. $80 for cleaning and $20 for removing of mold.

But one thing is after the cleaning, my bag loses its shine.. anything can help to do? The colourwash person said they already help me to polish the bag. My bag is the classic amazona loewe leather black bag, can I bring back to the loewe boutique to ask them help me polish? Because the sales person ever told me anytime if I'm free I can bring my bag there for polishing.

I inquired yesterday at the West Coast Mall for the cleaning of my small sized LV and he quote me $70. At first he told me that the medium size is $80. Do you think its worth it??? Please help me. Why is it that the difference from medium size to small size LV bag cleaning is just $10??? He said cleaning service for LV is much expensive. DOes anybody know why?

Oh i think the shop at Singapore Shopping Centre is called The Bag & Shoe Aesthetics Pte. Ltd. I send my Prada wallet there in December 2012 last year for cleaning and the lady only called me yesterday to collect it! But oh wells the lady is really nice and she gives really good advice on the kind of services which is suitable for your bag or wallet. I guess business must be really good for them since their reason for taking so long to clean my wallet was due to the overwhelming number of wallets which they received over the Chinese new year period. But i was really upset that they didn't warn me that it was going to take so long? Afterall the lady wrote on my receipt that the wallet will be ready in 10 Days. Yeah right it took two months. I hope they did a good job with my wallet though, apparently wallets have to be done individually and personally my the cleaning staff, unlike bags which are washed via the machines.

I just sent my new LV Palermo PM to Color Wash @ Tanjong Pagar for waterproofing. $20 only and it will give me the peace of mind regardless rain or shine!

The staff was patient in answering my questions and explained the differences between transparent coating and waterproofing. It is $100 and $20 respectively and she told me that I only need waterproofing for my monogram canvas bag. Transparent coating is usually for light coloured leather bags. She advised me against the more expensive option and I appreciated that!

She handled my bag very delicately when I handed it to her. It seemed like she wanted to minimise her contact with the bag and she was very careful with it.

My experience so far was pleasant. I sort of trusted them to take care of my bag. Can't wait to have it back!

I had my british tan bag out today and we got a downpour and there are a few water spots on it. It's not really noticeable unless you look hard at it but I was wondering if that would happen with washing too?
