Gracious Aires

Hi fellow cotters,

I just found this brand of bags Gracious Aires today. They are Singapore brand with factory in Korea. They have shop at FEP, central orchard and central and a pushcart at raffles city.

Anybody who have their bags can comment? Are they value for me as in not getting spoilt within months? Colour transfer? Scuff? I am still considering if I should pay $98 for a synthetic no brand bag. Quite like a calf leather one but its $200+. I can get a similar softer bag from GAP with the same price.

bought a couple of bags and clutches from them before...cos was very drawn to their designs..and considered relatively cheap..but the quality is not for long term usage definitely.. in terms of color fading...and the bags losing the shape...imo, will last abt 3mths if you using it almost everyday? nonetheless, their designs are really nice...

pinkcherri, thanks for the review. Yes, I found the designs are quite nice. Just not sure if they are worth the price. Would 3 months usage justify a $100 price tag?

no problem =))..somehow it reminds me of the bags on gmarket..mmm, or perhaps u can buy the one that you really like and see how far it can bring you to? the one that my sis got for her school, did not stand the test of time tho...the handles were quite fraying...

My friends and i also bought bags frm them b4. The designs are pretty nice but some of the prices are abit steep (Considering its not a branded bag). I have paid ard $140 for a document bag and recently another one for $80.

I definatly won't recommend Gracious aries.

Bought a bag from there and used it almost everyday for approx 3 mths or so, but the handles gave way.

Before I purchased, SA told me the parts are very durable and if any probs can bring back for repair.In the end, went down to shop with the bag to ask for replacement of handles, told me to take picture of bag, even though it was there.Told her since I brought it down must as well leave the handles with them.She took it and asked for my ctt number.

Later,she sms me again call me to take picture of bag and email to thier email address.I did that and after 1 mth emailed back said no replacement coz dun have the leather, offer me a different set of handles.Told her NO, i bought 2 bags from her which cost me $200++ and this is not the service I want.So she said will check.

After a few mths also no news.Emailed her also no reply.
Now the bag only sits in my wardrope.Dunno wana discard or not.Coz no handles.

Sigh...major regret.

I just went to Far East Plaza last weekend and was shopping for bags and saw this shop Gracious Aires @ Level 1.

The moment I enter the salesgirl(china girl) or mayb she is the boss keep trying to hard sell her bags to me...

I was kinnda psycho-ed by her in the end and decided to get the bag from her. Ask her for a new piece and to my horror, the new piece that she showed me got some pencil marking of CHINESE words on the bag's leather itself. so the bags are definitely not from KOREA. Probably some TW webby type of bags!

End up after I see those words, i changed my mind and told her I am not buying the bag already. The china girl attitude changed immediately and my friend just whisper to me to faster leave the shop.

Very bad experience. Come to think of it, the bags are overly PRICED and with that price tag, I can easily get a Charles and Keith bag and still got some change for a meal or something!

I am glad I did not buy from her in the end though!

I bought a bag from the RC pushcart. Wasn't aware that they have a proper shop outlet.

I thought the quality of the bag was quite good - could carry a lot of stuff. And yeah, I was also told the bags were from Korea, can bring back for repairs etc...

i just bought a bag there this afternoon. the sales lady was quite pushy today, more than usual. don't know why. perhaps business isn't good today.

this was my 3rd time visiting the clarke quay central outlet. previous two times i bought clothes from them.

they have nice bags, i must say. but sometimes, i feel pressurised into buying at this shop

I used to get quite a lot of bags from them previously also due to the nice design and texture. The quality looks alright. However, after 3 months or so of usage, the part where the handles are sewed onto gave way. The lady told me that I need to let the bag "rest" and I am not supposed to use it everyday. I am not so hardworking to change my bags every other day...

Now I invest my money on LV and Gucci bags which, after continuous usage for 6 months, they have no signs of giving way yet...

Hi all. I guess there might be a misunderstanding somewhere? I'm a regular customer of Gracious Aires for more than 2 years. I'm 25 this year & is a regular customer in shops like LV, Prada etc before me using bags from Gracious Aires.

It all started when my friend gave me a bag of theirs as a Christmas present for me. I was immediately drawn to the color (cream mix green & I love green!). I have been using that bag for more than 6 months as I followed their instructions- don't put them with PVC bags, put inside dust-bag when not in use etc. When its dirty, I'll just use wet tissue to clean it. I think its as simple as this to maintain a bag.

I've to put it crudely here, as some people should know very well themselves how they maintain their bags. By throwing it anywhere they like, accidentally peel the skin off (as they know there's after service for the bags so they don't really care much). So much so, they will push the blame to the shops & say whatever they like. I don't think its really fair to them though.

And another thing is that for a local brand, we should give them time to continue improving, branded bags all started off small too, we all should know that. Like Chanel, if the lady doesn't persist in her thinking, will we ever have these nice bags to use? Please, think about it. Success doesn't come so easily. Everything needs time.

After all, if the quality of the bags are really bad, will they be able to stay on till close to 8 years? (I'm their super regular customer @ Far East Plaza)

Their bags are worth buying frankly speaking. My sisters, mother are all using their bags. They gave me cash vouchers on my birthday, inform me of new stocks. (Their current NEW batch of bags really good!)

As for the servicing part, maybe at the start some people may never understand that leathers should not be kept long. (Branded bags will tarnish as well after long usage & their after service is damn ex! I once exchange my Gucci Bag's leather & it cost me $800 bucks! I can Just spent the money on D&G right? No link!)

After all their bags NEVER repeat, so why will they use the leathers again? They always have new designs & new texture of leathers.


NEVER buy Charles & Keith. Their bags are PVC. I will rather spent more on UV leather bags than on PVC. Don't believe? Those who know real leathers well will be able to tell. They are just selling their brand.

I do have some discomfort when my bag from GA has some problem & they are unable to fix it for me, but then their service makes me feeeeeeel really homely & good. Super friendly. How will you feel when you are able to fix your bags but the stuff acts like a zombie? Does it make you feel good? Everyone deserves another chance. Don't deprive them of having that.


Don't demand too much too. After all they are improving. They are still young & making their way big just the those branded bags too! I will continue to support them regards of rumors. As I know some people DONT know how to take care of their belongings. They will always push the blame on others. All kinds of people in the world, you may never know. Just try

I must say, branded bags' leathers will give way too. Like handles fraying. Many people will encounter this problem, if so, why no people dare to lodge a complain? Just because they are branded & GA is not. If yes than please continue buying your branded bags. If you are really so rich and so unwilling to purchase cheap skate bags.

I bought a bag for last year CNY and I'm still using it now. Their bags are versatile, three different types of handles altogether(can wear as slingbag / hand bag / shoulder bag) so I guess it's value for money.

However, one handle for the hand bag way of carrying was spoilt when I tried to open the button. Swear I was really gentle when opening. So I went to change and the salesgirl changed for me reluctantly and said must be cuz I'm too rough. She didnt wana change for me initially but I insisted cuz I wouldnt be able to use that spoilt handle at all.

I guess they are pretty friendly if you are going to buy something from them, but if you are just window-shopping or giving them issues like an exchange, they somehow turn cold.
