Yup my bags are all self paid since I was 17, from my savings and then later from my own salary.

I think out of all my bags, only one was bought by my BF for my birthday many years ago.

All my bags are self paid too. All from my own savings, so far my BF doesn't buy any luxury bags for me, unlike my girlfriends, their BF buy quite afew nice expensive bags for them every now and then.

I agree with you, even if i earn that much, i wouldnt splurge like this. Because I know if i use that 3.5K on shares, I could earn some dividend back in a few months which makes my 3.5K a 3.7K and so on. But for bags theres like only 0.05% chance that they would cost 3.6K after using them for a year or so...

My bags are usually bought by my mom and sometimes myself. She knows I love bags! and thank god, she likes' em bags too. So she wouldn't mind buying for me esp when she travels
Nowadays, she'd get them bags that's to my liking instead of her liking. Cos we sometimes share our bags. However when it comes to younger brands like mulberry and such, she doesnt like them. it's not to her liking.

All my bags are self paid. I don't like having someone else pay for me because I will feel very uncomfortable carrying it knowing it's paid/gifted by someone and I won't enjoy the bag. I get a completely different feeling towards the bag when it's paid by someone instead of myself, and I don't like it. I dislike having to "rely" on someone else. I want my bags to be mine- earned and bought with my very own two hands. That way I feel the satisfaction when carrying it.

Me too! my mum and i shares the same love for bags! haha! she knows what kind of bags I like that's why I feel so lucky when she buys for me because I love it the moment I see it!
