jihanemo : Yes! i have to agree that buying a 'copy bag' is utterly immoral & unacceptable.Of cos its illegal too. Maybe you can get a brandless inspired one with NO logo or simply save up for the real one? I am sure if u take pains in designing something...u wouldnt like it to be copied. its as good as Stealing....This speaks why some cotters are disgusted over your act.
If you are after the brand u save up for it if not you can always get a brandless one of similiar design or downgrade to a Authentic branded bag that you CAN afford

If we all stop patronising these zero integirty merchants they will go out of business and thus we can at least reduce the rampantness of these disgusting behaviour..

Then all of should stop patronising brands like Gap, Guess, LV, Sony, Jimmy Choo etc. Even these companies uses child labour.

Im not saying that we should condon child labour. But by not buying replicas doesnt solve the problem. Because there are so many companies who are doing that. Even those reputable companies. Yes.... Their bags may be made in Spain, Europe etc but their materials inevitably still comes from sweatshops in China, Vietnam etc.

Renie, just cut her some slack. To each his own right? Its ok to disagree with her actions but to label her shallow and ignorant is totally uncalled for.

And seriously, regarding your last statement, Im puzzled. If you pay thousand over dollars for an LV, and you bring it out, you dont carry it for the brand, then what do you carry it for?

just thought I share this with u gals..

A friend I met who is in the engineering line went to one of the suppliers factories in the middle of night like 3 am for inspection (factory assembly line not fashion related) in China.

The shocking thing he saw was that there were young children ard 9 yr olds working at the machinery assembly lines and having open wounds on their hands and handling the machinery. The reason is because they are cheap like 50cent per hour. .. they work long shifts . Although there are laws agst child labour but in china anything is possible and rules are flouted all the time..

Although people dismissed fakes / replicas as a means of supporting terrorism however, from my friend's account, one thing for sure, the Chinese do anything for money and they have no intergrity and therefore they copy blatantly.

I admit that China-made products across all industries are very popular and I myself also have plenty of china made items at home because their prices are so much cheaper compared to those made in most other countries such electronics, branded clothes which are also made in china! etc .

Although there is no way we can avoid china-made products but I think at least if you buy from reputable brands eg Phillips electronics goods which are made in China, or Calvin Kleins which are made in china, there is at least comfort that you can assume that the factory in Phillips or Calvin Kleins will unlikely flout these rules for fear of being found out of such breach and having adverse publicity / reputation (remember the Nike sweatshop story that made people boycott them?).

However, this cannot be said for replicas churning factories as the likelihood of such abuse are undeniably high when their business are to make dodgey products . By buying replicas, u are possibly supporting such behaviour since these merchants already have no intergrity when they mk replicas so how do u expect them to treat workers fairly.

This is my 2-cents worth. I m just disgusted by the Chinamen who make fake paus, inject melamine in food to fake it as protein and sell waterbuffalos as cows..

Well, i am not going to dabble in the buying counterfeit vs buying the real thing debate cos there are always demands for both, and of course paying over 3 k for the authentic bag is not an easy thing.. and chanel is now raising its price yearly.. so now this bag prob cost over 3 k in cavier leather...

anyway, *** is the budget u are prepared to pay for this? if i can help u source, wld u want to ? no point buying those online cos the quality is real bad..
