i'm using my sister's crumpler too.. lots of compartments and all but its quite heavy! she took out some of the padding inside the bag so its lighter.. but laptop and all, i can barely carry the bag around campus

Yea, crumpler would be a good choice as they offer lifetime warranty on their bags. (McBains and Roll-O-Notes would some of the smaller laptop bags). However some crumpler laptops( eg Roll-O-Notes have thick in-bulit padding hence can be very bulky.

Being a techno freak, i was also on the search to give my beloved laptop the nicest bag one can find. If you like sporty ones, there's a pretty Nike laptop bag in the retro *i think* series. It's has paddings too but it's not as bulky.. works pretty well for my heavy-bulky darling.. (2.8 kg)

    Here's a picture

Comes in 2 styles (Brown) in the picture and ( dark/baby blue/white). It really looks much better in reallife ,think the colour in picture is a bit too bright.)

Jewel, IIRC, they cost between SG$70+ to $200+. The laptop bags around $150, I think?

When I don't want to carry around my laptop in its *generic, read: ugly* *bulky* *bleargh* bag, I'll slip it in this snug B4-sized protective cover I bought from the computer shop.

The material is supposedly similar to that used in diving suits so it's waterproof! And the thick-ish material does offer some peace of mind when I accidently bump my non-paded bag against doors and walls!

wow crumpler laptop bags are a bit out of my budget. anyone else has a nice stylish-sporty laptop bag below $100? do tell!
