i've been seeing alot of replicas of designer bags like miu miu, chloe, hermes etc. plenty of them in far east plaza (ricks, bow, etc) would you spend on such bags? no doubt they are pretty..but would you be seen carrying them? kinda curious...

Are they exact replicas or "inspired-by"?
I would carry inspired-by, but definitely nothing too obvious (e.g. a big bulky padlock - so Chloe)
It beats carrying imitations.
I don't buy either. Certainly not the replicas, and the 'inspired-by' thing is just a nice way of saying it's basically a copy. I would rather buy an original design/bag from somewhere like Topshop than buy fakes, though i know quite a lot of people disagree![]()
For me, i wouldn't mind buying replicas from FEP. I prefer quantity than quality. Haa. I like to have many bags to choose from, one bag for every occasion for everyday. And maybe because i'm still a student, no money to buy the real thing. Anyway even if i own branded bags, it would be silly of me to bring to school.
i dont buy and hate ppl carry or selling fake. No money dun buy... as simple as that.
i wouldn't resist buying replicas or so-called "inspired-bys" if they are priced reasonably! prices of bags from b.o.w are quite steep. a big no-no for students like me too.. but there is a trend of retailers having replicas even charles & keith are replicating chloe, marc jacobs, etc.
anywhere i can get nice laptop bags...?![]()
Yeah... I'm considering whether to get a bag from URS, looks a bit like Gucci inspired. However replicas of famous brands like LV and Gucci are no-no for me. Unless it's 101% look alike, i wouldn't want to be caught carrying an obvious fake.![]()
yeah.... i dun prefer FAKEs... like those with the'originäl' brand name and logos... but those which are inspired... i dun mind though..... coz they r quite reasonably price... for students like me.... i m nt into showing off but just into having a NICE handbag.....

if i buy a replica, it's because i like the design, yet do not have money. the real thing costs 2k+ and i'm only a student. but i do not buy because it's designer item but just pure liking for design.![]()
i don't mind buying designs that are nice, even if they do seem a little copycat at times. can't afford all the brand names. ><
to me, what matters are :
comfort
durability
design
if a bag has all 3, i wouldnt care less if it's a replica/an inspired-by/authentic/cheap pasarmalam goods.
how do i put this? i buy bags for the design & quality, not the brand name. it'll be ideal if i could afford the original, definitely. inspired bags should not be put on par with fakes. fakes bear the logo and name of the original. inspired bags do not. if you realise, many of topshop's designs for shoes are "inspired" by high end designers. and some fashion houses have items that look kind of similar, like there has been ripping off of ideas going on, if you think about it.
Price, image & affordability are my concerns.
If I can afford high end luxurious products I would definitely go for it. I wouldn't be caught carrying a fake branded bag.
I can carry a cosmetic freebie bag, a few hundred $ bag or something as expensive as $5000 odd. Of cos I cannot afford branded bags all the time.
Different occasions call for different bags for me.
Just a simple No to replicas or knock-offs.
Ya, if there's padlock etc, and i knew that its replicas of designer bags then i wont buy. otherwise, if its similar, not to the extend of imitation, i will buy if i like the design. anyway its like even designers themselves are using similar materials etc for their bags in a particular season. Furthermore, as i am not into branded bags, i might not even know its a 'copy' of a particular brand.
No I don't. May follow trend sometimes but never for brand. Like changing around too so never spend a bomb in either the fake or real stuff.
