hi, not sure if this is the correct thread to ask this...but do help if you can!
i have a small satchi club brown leather sling bag (bought from vintage store) and the long strap kind of broke. any shop that's good in repairing such vintage leather bags? or if cant repair, does the shop sell leather straps so i can buy to replace the old one? the bag is genuine satchi club (or so i was told), so i need a really good repair man! any recommendations? thanks!![]()
I am sharing few tips to help you keep your leather handbag in tip-top condition for a long time:
• Stuff your leather handbag with some soft tissue paper or soft cloth pieces to retain its original shape and to prevent wrinkles.
• Wipe off their leather items with a slightly moistened (not wet) cloth piece or sponge every day to prevent hardening due to age.
• Brushing also helps, soft brushing can remove the fine dirt and grease on your handbag.
• Avoid hanging your leather bag by its straps.
Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
Leather straps are tricky. I use sunblock on my skin (shoulders) and in sg its pretty humid plus sunblock just completely ruins my bags' strap. So now what i like to do is use my scarfs or at least tissue between my skin and straps/handles (when i wear sleeveless tops).
what happens if there are some white spots.. how to clean
if the spot is on leather try to clean it gently with leather solution liquid (shoes or bag cleaners). But if that's too big and not sure what to do bring into those special cleaning shops. If that's on the fabrig/canvas, new spots easily removable with light detergent, but again if the stain is too big, bring into specialist to avoid causing discoloration of the garment.
