Oh Verena, You have quite an imagination. But it sure sounds possible!

I do sell off my LV, Coach, Gucci etc bags & coz of the sceptics around being genuine or not(I have no habits of keeping receipts), I always tend to sell them at half their retail or sometimes much, much less like an LV backpack I sold off in 2005. I do not see it as a lost of sorts(coz it would have depreciated over the years & not like they are fixed assets in the first place but I like to think of it that way). If I keep hoarding them, I know I would never use them. If I have been using them, it would translate my love for the bag & therefore I would abuse them & never sell them away. The most, when the lifespan is over, I would thrash them.
For first time buyers, if you are unsure, avoidance is best. Or buy from 2nd hand shops we have around us. They do take time to verify your items when owners sell to them. So as buyers you might feel much safer to get off their hands.
verena,
i've heard about milan station in hongkong, i've never been to the store before , heard that they have loads of IT bags.
lots of pple commented that they sell the real deal, and yet i've also heard some say they mix real and fake merchandise due to the sheer amount of stock they have per brand.
authentication is rather tricky, most times, i just have to rely on the reputation of the seller.
farahdean:i think i've been watching too much drama serials.... hehe
v_ni: yeps they have a lot of IT bags and when i went into the shop i was so overwhelmed! basically the latest bags that are talked about for that season, they'll already have it. but i just go in to take a look.. cos knowing me not being able to have such a keen eye i'll most probably end up buying a fake and paying a hefty price tag for it!so i shall just stick to either not buying
or saving money to get the bag from the shops.... equally or even more

its 50-70 for me, depending on how much I want that bag and the condition of it. =)
i wouldnt mind paying for a 2nd hand bags if its authentic. sometimes the price of the bag which u buy fr the boutique itself can actually buy more 2nd hand branded bags fr auctions or dealer's shop. but 2 avoid getting cheated, best is 2 go down the boutique 2 verify if its authentic. i won't want 2 b caught carrying a fake bag!!!
But luxury brand like LV, Chanel, Gucci don't provide verification service, they would advise you to send over to their HQ which you need to incur the extra charges..
Only coach allow verifications, that why better think twice before buying from second hand shop...
To be safe, it is better to buy designer bags that comes with the original receipt and cert.
I go 2 mdm milan at raffles place..some of the bags r totally new with plastic wrap on the handles...amazing...
Poopoo, Madam Milan has quite a selection of bags. I even saw a Fendi Spy by the window display. They sell my second hand bags for me too & seems like the traffic is pretty good coz they manage to find buyers most times for popular brands/designs.![]()
so mdm milan only carries authentic ones right? and not fake ones?
deebz, when i send my bags to them, they always need a couple of days to authenticate. then they would quote me a price. i think they do this for all the bags they agree to sell.![]()

Depending on the quality but those I saw so far are in kind of bad condition or dirty. I would pay about at least 30% off the retail price for a second hand, provided it is still is excellent condition.
which part of raffles place is the mdm Milan?![]()
