NON-RECEIPT / DELAYED MAIL FROM

Did any of you happen to have any
negative experience pertaining to the above when purchasing from
SMOOCH.COM.SG in the last few months?
I recently failed to receive the
House of Harlow Inspired Double Sunburst Necklace purchased in June and i suspect that they did not exercise due dilligience when processing my order resulting in the non-receipt.
While I understand that lost mails can also be attributed to Singpost, I am inclinced to think otherwise due to the bad experience of someone else I know.
The buyer had indicated that be mailed to another mailing address (not the one on the account) as it was meant for someone else and informed SMooch both in the order on the website and also via email, which they acknowledged.
However, 1 week later, the item was still not received at the second mailing address and the buyer emailed them. They then replied that the item has not been mailed yet and would proceed to do so.
Yet another week passed and there was still nothing received at the second mailing address and an email was sent to them. SMooch insisted that the item was indeed mailed to the second mailing address.
BUT GUESS WHAT?...
It was subsequently discovered to be mailed to the orginal mailing address indicated in the account
NOT
the adress that the item was meant for.
As such, how do they expect buyers to trust that they are a responsible shop and do exercise due care, and hence not be negligent in mailing items?
You may suggest that buyers opt for registered mail which is trackable. This I do not disagree with but due to hectic schedules and limited Singpost operating hours, not all may have the time to drop by within the 10+ days timeframe before items are sent back to the sender.
