I just feel that every owner has a different judgement on their profit margin... but I'm sure we as a shopper wont fall for their "trap"!

Those who sell items which are overpriced will suffer in the long run since we are wise not to buy from them!

It's really our choice whether to buy from them regardless what is the price! What more impt is that we got we really like Cheers Smiley

I agree that some can be really expensive compared to Taiwan Sprees. What puts me off retail shopping most of the item is the sales girl watching your every move, it's really irritating, I'd rather shop in front of the computer and take my time to choose and decide... even though it may not turn out as I expected.

Some blogshop owners earn a lot I suppose, but we do have to pay them for their hard work importing and processing etc etc.

I realised that mds, bc, and tracyeinny has increased some of their prices for all their in house dresses. Some of them costs more than $30 for bangkok material which is kindof expensive. On top of the $30 or $32 that we are paying, we still have to pay for the registered mail to make sure that the items are delivered safely to our home. But still i'm always buying from them as their trends are very up to date, at times i will not buy on impluse as some of the dresses are not cheap.

It depends. I won't buy Taiwan clothes from blogshops, only sprees as it's cheaper.

I don't mind paying abit more if the design is really nice, and if the quality is really good.

right now not abt being overpriced.. if they put low price also can be fake!! i just bought an item from Chicfemme and they were very nice but after i transferred money to their account, they suddenly disappeared and became uncontactable!

please beware of this shop, some more they are new and might be just there to scam people !

For me, it really depends on the quality and design. If I know that the design is more unique or doesn't look cheapo, I wouldn't mind paying a little more than the "usual blogshop prices". But of course, if I know that the item is easily found, I'd think twice. Taiwan items are a definite no-no though, because their cost prices are low... and the quality is usually pretty inferior too.

Its really a case of, you pay peanuts and you get monkey. Of coz i had my fair share of rip offs by usual suspects like Mango, Zara, Topshop etc etc. However, chances are the pieces I bought from BS didnt last beyond a 2nd time. After the 1st time wearing it, either it shrunk or i decided the embroidery is way too scratchy to even be wearable.

But having said that, of coz we have to pay the price for it. I will still buy from online sources but defintely not those with dubious unclear images and ridiculously low price (kind of suspicious)

Personally, i think quite a handful of blogshops are selling similar items. Same supplier i guess. I have stopped shopping at those popular blogshops because I feel their prices are way overpriced. S$30x for a dress? I can get dresses at this price at retail stores already. ):

I see some of the clothes from Blogshops sell in the neighbourhood shops for below $20 lol cos all import from Guang Zhou! My auntie has good supplier from there and she said there are all kind of grades of clothes there even though the designs are similar, the materials are very different (as can see from Taobao). and there is no such thing as exclusively manufactured unless you have super large order. and even so the factory can always copy your design and manufacture in large quantities to sell again. Well some of the Victoria's Secret Clothes sucks big time, especially those made of cotton. I wont pay more than $10 for it and yet they are selling it at $19USD (haven't add shipping)

I don't think it's fair to compare the profits but rather the quality we are getting. If you go F21, topshop, Osmose, Cotton on... Anything that's under $30 can't really get you something of quality better than what we normally get from blogshops.

Those shops earn like damn alot more, I believe their cost price is alot alot cheaper and we're paying for their branding, their high salary executives, managers etc.

I usually buy things online and had bad experiences before. Can anyone introduce trustworthy sites?

some blogshops really are too pricey.

i recently bought a dress for $16 from bugis village. the exact dress was JUST launched by a blogshop and is going for a ridiculous $26.50. Stars Smiley Moreover, when i bought the dress at BV, I knew EXACTLY what i was paying for.

The advantages of blogshops are that they're meant to be cheap and convenient - girls impulsively buy several items at a go without knowing it they fit, if the quality is any good, and if the clothes look good on them.

The only blogshop I'd happily fork out $30 or more for any item is ATBU. At least with the smooch dresses I'm guaranteed quality and the fit is perfect for my shape.

It's a shame really.. i love blogshopping but the increasing prices are making me think alot more than before. LOL Smiley
