i always wear hairbands at home. there are times when i would wear them to work, then my colleagues would say i look very teacher-ish and demure/lady-like... i like how it keeps the hair away from my face.

    exactly, teacher-ish if not, village-girl

i find the cloth & scarf types very 70s.

wonder how to get an updated look with good modern bands. i actually want to hide my uncoloured newly sprouted hair ah

vernis, actually you can try just using a skinny scarf as hairband. i'm sure it will look very pretty!

i always have problems finding nice hairbands... recently i think evita doesn't really carry outstanding stuff anymore... very normal plastic ones...

i used to wear a lot of hairbands in school and i have all sorta designs! but back then easier, got younger so can afford to act cute a bit... now, gotta find the classic sorts...

poor auntie can't be getting new Ferragamo bands thus happy with cheap alternatives

bands give semi-permanent marking on hair, a headache, u think so? plus my head bit big so cheap plastic ones are out for me. Hmmm.... since they are getting happening, better dropby the malls to seek & yanjiu.

oh yes they always leave a mark on the hair... so cannot take out until get home and wash hair...

and the size really matters! coz i had headaches from too tight bands, and bands that keep slipping off!

woah ferragamo! i don't have money to buy branded hairbands... i only have 2 evita peroni ones...

do update if you should find nice and cheap ones ok! i wonder if montip has good stock...

i love hairbands and use them when i'm working coz it keeps the hair especially my finge outta my face and eyes. fortunately, they don't leave marks on my hair

i have 6 hairbands, 5 of which are left over from my jc days - remember those frost color evita peroni ones? i've clear, yellow and pink. i also have a tortoise shell and a red one from the brand

i always put on a hairband at home. It's perfect way to keep your hair away from the face. So, reducing the chance of getting more pimples.

I wear hairbands at work and when i'm washing my face and those that i use are the really cheapo kinda hairbands, who are indeed dowdy and unglam

However, i try to minimise putting up the hairband coz was told by an excolleague who was learning hairdressing that it actually cause the hairline to recede. At the same time, it may cause headaches too if it's too tight

OMG i actually typed a rather long reply then there was some error and the whole thing is gone!!!

    ok i was just saying...

i could never wear those elastic hairbands sort coz they always slip off my head... wonder why...

vernis, whereabouts in JB do you get your hairbands?

those miu miu ones, the pony tail and hairband look, i've always thought they look rather ah-soh-ish... i always don this look at home...

and i saw in a mag featuring this chanel model, with long, slight waves wearing this slightly thicker, woven with flowers sort of hairband, very sweet and dreamy looking!
