I have so many jewellery that is tarnished. I find that after soaking into solution, still have to rub with cloth. Very troublesome. Regret to buy so many then. So hard to maintain. Most of the time I just throw away.
hi all.
I think little plastic zip bags work really well. I have 925 and non 925 accessories and I find keeping them in the bags after wearing help to lessen the tarnishing. I suggest giving these jewelry that you treasure a dry wipe after wearing and place them in the bags I mentioned.
The thing is don't just place them out in contact with air (air has moisture in them especially in humid SG) for too long or they'll tarnish.
And I think its true that dipping your 925 jewelry in the cleaning solution too often will only make it tarnish easier ( I don't know why but I realized it just works that way), I guess dipping it the solution also washes off a layer of the protective layer on the 925 silver.

Aldo and topshop items are definitely not 925 silver.... I use this trick. Put a few drops of dishwashing solution into a small bowl of water, mix it then drop the jewelry into the solution. After a few minutes, take out the jewelry and polish it with a cloth which you no longer need because the cloth will turn black! Your item will come out sparkly and new looking... works great for diamonds too![]()
My nickel keeps tarnishing. I think it looks kind of shabby, friends say it adds character. What's the standard expectation with nickel on pipes. Polish all the time or just let it go? I've tried different polishes and never dull. It works with some effort but doesn't last.
